Cooper Construction has been a general contractor since 1967, and has run its own HVAC division for more than 50 years. On projects where we are the general contractor, the same company handles the mechanical work as well: design, installation, balancing, and service after the building opens. That means one contract instead of two, and one company to call if something goes wrong.
We have completed more than 150 HVAC contracts in the last decade. The buildings include greenhouses, wineries, machine shops, dental offices, church sanctuaries, school gymnasiums, restaurant kitchens, and a municipal wastewater plant. Jobs have ranged from a single rooftop unit to full mechanical replacement across a manufacturing campus. We are not a dealer for any one manufacturer. Recent work has used equipment from Trane, Mitsubishi Electric, Carrier, Daikin, AAON, and Greenheck.
We also take HVAC work without the construction contract. That includes system replacements and additions, controls upgrades, kitchen hoods, cleanroom and server room cooling, and time and material service calls. One manufacturing plant in East Flat Rock has hired us for seventeen separate HVAC jobs since 2016.
