3,200 SF Tasting Room, 13,922 SF Production & Event Facility
Cooper Construction has built multiple phases at Marked Tree Vineyard in Flat Rock, North Carolina, on the crest of the Eastern Continental Divide.
The 3,200 square foot tasting room came first, set between Mt. Pisgah and Tryon Peak with the views doing most of the work. It runs as a high-traffic hospitality venue and was detailed to take that traffic.
The 13,922 square foot production and event facility followed. Two stories, built to handle the wine from the crush pad through to a climate-controlled barrel room with a Fog Master humidifier holding it. Cooper used a pre-engineered metal building frame and fitted it out with steel mezzanine stairs, food-safe flooring and the drainage a winery floor needs.
Cooper installed the HVAC, which included two G&D two stage chiller packages with matching fan coils for the barrel room and the cold case storage, Belimo control packages, Kitz three-way valve kits and 33 digital temperature controllers, alongside tube heaters, unit heaters and high volume ceiling fans.
