Cooper Construction successfully completed a comprehensive 8,408-square-foot renovation of GE Current's Lighting Institute facility in Hendersonville, North Carolina, transforming the existing Lamp Lighter Hall into a state-of-the-art educational and training center. The project involved complete interior demolition of the existing space, followed by full renovation with new finishes throughout. This was designed to create a cutting-edge learning environment that showcases GE Current's expanded lighting capabilities and provides hands-on training experiences.
Cooper Construction's scope of work included complete interior demolition and rebuild, installation of new finishes throughout the facility, creation of flexible spaces to accommodate educational needs, and infrastructure updates to support advanced audio-visual technology. The renovation resulted in a facility that includes a central teaching auditorium, expanded classroom spaces, inviting collaboration areas for networking, state-of-the-art audio-visual technology throughout, and demonstration areas for installed lighting and controls products.
