Cooper Construction built the automated greenhouse at Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock, North Carolina.

It was built to train people who will work in commercial greenhouses, so it runs the equipment they will meet there: automated irrigation, automated climate control and weather tracking feeding real data back to the class.

The greenhouse is 4,727 square feet. Accessibility was designed in from the start, so no student is shut out of the horticulture or agribusiness training by the building.

Henderson County has a substantial commercial growing industry, and Cooper has built for a good number of its growers.
