Cooper Construction renovated and extended Appalachian Mountain Brewery's taproom and kitchen at 46 North Mills River Road in Mills River, North Carolina, and installed the HVAC.

The building was a mechanic shop off NC 280 before the brewery took it. The addition holds a commercial kitchen with a cooler and freezer, the renovation made the seating a taproom needs, and outside Cooper put in ADA access, the pedestrian walkways and compacted fill contours to drain the site properly.

The 3,515 SF upfit opened on June 23, 2023 with 32 taps, a full bar and kitchen and a beer garden alongside, and took orders from 400 customers in the first hour. It was the Boone brewery's first location outside its original home.
