Cooper Construction delivered design-build and HVAC services for the 822,000-square-foot warehouse and a separate 7,820-square-foot worker housing facility located in Mills River, NC. This facility is owned by Nourse Farms, a Massachusetts-based company that produces berries and propagates strawberry plants at their Mills River site for distribution to home gardeners, farmers, and commercial growers across North America. 

After Nourse purchased the building, Cooper Construction carried out updates and improvements, which included the installation of a positive grade drainage system connected to the existing reclaim system, asphalt paving, resurfacing of gravel drives, an entrance gate, ADA-compliant parking, positive drainage grading around the building perimeters, and roadway vehicle barrier railings. Additionally, Cooper Construction provided design-build services for an additional 8,000-square-foot worker bunkhouse located across from the original bunkhouse.
