Cooper Construction Company has served as general contractor for multiple phases of construction at Tri-Hishtil's commercial horticultural facility in Mills River, North Carolina. Over several projects encompassing approximately 330,000 square feet, Cooper has developed a comprehensive agricultural complex that supports large-scale plant production operations.

The initial facility construction established the foundation with an 84-foot by 328-foot (27,552 SF) pre-engineered metal production building and a 346-foot by 328-foot (113,488 SF) greenhouse. This phase included extensive site work with clearing, grading, and installation of storm drainage infrastructure including catch basins, HDPE pipe systems, and a storm water retention pond. Cooper constructed access roads, parking areas with concrete bumpers, and a truck loading dock with retaining wall and mechanical dock leveler. The work included comprehensive concrete foundations, walkways throughout the greenhouse, and over 2,400 feet of downspout piping for water management.

Subsequent expansion projects added a 42,000-square-foot four-bay greenhouse extension and a major 142,195-square-foot office and greenhouse facility expansion. These phases included French drains, extensive concrete walkway networks, and storm drainage systems. Cooper installed gas piping, heater systems, and ductwork throughout the expanded facilities, along with major electrical upgrades for greenhouse lighting. The mechanical and electrical infrastructure provides power distribution to HVAC systems, heaters, and specialized agricultural equipment. Additional site improvements included a new 5,000-square-foot concrete pad to support operational needs.

Cooper Construction also built two specialized healing rooms featuring controlled climate environments with insulated cooler panel walls reaching over 10 feet high, manually operated sliding cooler doors, and sophisticated climate control systems. Each healing room includes split air handler systems for redundancy, integrated controls, and supporting plumbing and electrical infrastructure designed to maintain precise environmental conditions for horticultural treatment processes. These projects demonstrate Cooper Construction's expertise in agricultural facility construction, successfully integrating complex site work, structural systems, and specialized mechanical and electrical infrastructure to support commercial growing operations.
