Cooper Construction is proud to have built the Tri-Hishtil facilities in Mills River, NC, which encompass 2.5 acres of greenhouses along with a 27,562-square-foot production facility. This facility focuses on the greenhouse production of grafted vegetable plants, particularly watermelons, tomatoes, cantaloupes, peppers, and eggplants. Tri-Hishtil's Mills River location employs 125 people.

The greenhouse covers 113,695 square feet and features tables that support the growing trays, equipped with irrigation booms for efficient watering and fertilizing. Underneath these tables are heat tubes that inflate and warm the greenhouse during colder weather. At the Tri-Hishtil greenhouse, approximately 90,000 plants are grafted by hand each day for vegetable farmers across the eastern United States. After their initial growth, the plants are transferred to the 27,562-square-foot production facility for processing. This production facility is a pre-engineered metal building constructed by Cooper Construction.
