Cooper Construction built the six-bed expansion at The Elizabeth House at Four Seasons on South Allen Road in Flat Rock, North Carolina.
The Elizabeth House does 24 hour inpatient hospice care in a building that reads as a house rather than a ward. The expansion had to meet every technical requirement for that level of care and still match the rest of the building.
It is 8,770 square feet and takes the facility past 17,500. The additional beds let the house take respite admissions as well.
