Cooper Construction design-built the distribution warehouse, office and food packing facility for Spearman Food Distributors at the corner of Upward Road and Crest Road in Flat Rock, North Carolina.

Food packing and dry distribution want different things from a building, and both had to come out of one frame. Cooper carried the design as well as the construction, and put up a Varco-Pruden pre-engineered building 116 feet by 224 feet with a 25 foot eave, 28,840 square feet in all, with the office and the packing space built into it.

The job ran from March 2004 to March 2005.
