Project Scope

45,000 SF Renovation - CMAR

Cooper Construction served as Construction Manager at Risk for the transformation of NewSpring Church's Eastlan campus, a 45,000 SF building prominently located along Pleasantburg Road in Greenville, SC. This comprehensive project marked NewSpring's first satellite campus outside of Anderson, SC, and represented the adaptive reuse of the former Eastlan Baptist Church into a contemporary worship facility.

The scope included a complete interior renovation of the existing sanctuary and gymnasium to accommodate NewSpring's modern worship style, while honoring the building's heritage. Cooper Construction demolished the existing two-story education wing and constructed a new single-story education wing featuring expanded KidSpring children's ministry space. A new lobby was added to connect all building components and create a welcoming entry experience for the congregation.

Cooper Construction successfully navigated the design challenges of transforming a traditional church facility into a contemporary campus that reflects NewSpring's identity while maintaining the architectural significance of this landmark property. The project required careful coordination to repurpose existing structures alongside new construction, ultimately delivering a unified facility that serves NewSpring's growing Greenville congregation.
