New Main Fire Station

Cooper Construction built the main station of the Enka-Candler Fire and Rescue Department on Pisgah Highway in Candler, North Carolina.

Firefighters didn't wait for the building to be finished. They started answering calls from the new station in January, while the last of the painting and trim was still underway. Winter weather slowed that finish work, so the department moved in a month later, in the first week of February.
