Cooper Construction built a gym and a connecting wing onto the Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County on Gallimore Road in Brevard, North Carolina. The addition came to 10,133 square feet and nearly doubled the size of the club. Cooper won the job on a competitive bid.

The gym is 7,945 square feet of masonry and structural steel with a new sport floor. The 2,188 square foot wing ties it into the existing club building and holds classrooms, a teen room, a kitchen, and locker rooms. The Club had bid that wing as an option and chose to build it once the prices came in. Outside, Cooper did the grading, the paving, and the curb and gutter.

Cooper signed the contract in July 2005, and the Club's executive director, Jeff Green, wrote the following March: "They are currently on pace to finish the construction well ahead of schedule. That is truly amazing." Cooper closed out the job in April 2006, about nine months after it started.
