Cooper Construction built the Ashley Furniture store in Arden, North Carolina.
The building is a Varco-Pruden pre-engineered metal building, 140 feet by 269 feet with a 20 foot eave height, clad in 26 gauge Vee Rib steel panels under a TPO roof system with R-30 insulation. The store runs to 35,000 square feet.
Furniture retail needs its stock close to its floor. The showroom, the warehouse behind it, the loading docks and the staff offices are all in one structure, with the warehouse high bay lighting deleted where the showroom lighting package reached it.
