Cooper Construction renovated Asheville Chevrolet at 205 Smoky Park Highway in Asheville, North Carolina, and built the dealership a free-standing entry tower.

Chevrolet's facility image program sets what the tower has to be: a blue composite-metal entry element with a hairline brushed frame and a canopy hanging in the opening, free-standing where the existing building will not take it. This one had to be free-standing, so Cooper excavated, footed and poured for it before any of it went up. It stands twenty-five feet by thirty.

The rest of the building came with it. Hard-coat stucco on metal studs covered the existing stone across the side elevations as far as the service drive. The two-story area lost its stone and PVC roof and gained a TPO system with a ten year warranty, and two hundred feet of gutter was replaced. Inside, the sale area, service write-up, waiting area, parts department and restrooms were reworked, with frosted film glazing between the service write-up and the shop, a new men's restroom insulated for sound, new parts-department lighting and new showroom doors.
