Cooper Construction has built twice for American Quality Foods on Banner Farm Road in Mills River, North Carolina.

What the buildings are really for is inside them. Two mixing rooms carry sanitary finishes, fiber-reinforced panel on one ceiling and epoxy paint on the other and on the walls around it, under a drywall ceiling grid at sixteen feet on 8 inch steel joists with R-19 above. Two 250,000 BTU gas unit heaters and four powered roof exhaust fans condition them.

The original facility is 17,000 square feet, contracted in September 2006 and finished the following August. A 16,000 square foot addition followed in February 2015, a single-slope frame 100 feet by 120 with a 22 foot low eave, built for warehousing. Both ran on the same design-build agreement.

Outside, a twelve inch masonry screen wall, synthetic stone veneer across the office front, and a six inch ductile iron fire line with post indicator valve and hydrant.
