Cooper Construction built the Ace Hardware store and garden center in Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Cooper took the site from raw ground: earthwork, stormwater, footings, a retaining wall, curb and gutter, site water and sewer, waterproofing, a ramp, sidewalks and paving.

The exterior is split-faced block and cultured stone with a decorative concrete finish system over metal studs. Inside there is a mezzanine, a fireplace, automatic doors and an aluminum storefront, coiling doors, and both single-ply and metal roofing above. Two balconies run along the back of the building.

The garden center is climate-controlled, with greenhouse controls from Wadsworth Control Systems.
