Cooper Construction Company Wins National Award
Cooper Construction Company, Inc. was recognized earlier this year as one of 56 winners for the Varco Pruden 2015 Hall of Fame. This annual competition recognizes top projects by Varco Pruden builders that display innovation and excellence through the integration of VP building systems, products, architectural appearance, end use and design.
This year's 2015 Best of Category Award in the Agricultural division went to Cooper Construction for their work on the winery facility at Burntshirt Vineyards. This 10,500 square foot building was completed in the fall of 2013 and includes a crush pad where grapes are brought after harvest, fermentation tanks and a laboratory to conduct tests on grapes. There is also a storage room, a hermetically sealed space for bottling and a 1,700 square foot barrel room.
“The VP Hall of Fame awards recognize remarkable building projects,” said Doug Yancey, Varco Pruden’s advertising manager and Hall of Fame coordinator. “Varco Pruden partners with some of the best builders in the industry. These outstanding facilities speak volumes about our builders’ levels of expertise,” said Yancey.
Cooper Construction Company has been a loyal Varco Pruden (VP) partner for over 30 years and is the only licensed distributor in Western North Carolina. VP's custom concept approach to pre-engineered buildings and components allows Cooper the ability to produce exceptional facilities for it's clients while working within their budgets and time frames. "Anytime we can leverage one of our industry partners to provide our clients with an end solution that exceeds their expectations is a success for us as a company." said Trey Ford, Vice President of Cooper Construction. "Then on top of that to have a design-build project such as this recognized for it's craftsmanship and architectural complexity is a great honor for us."
